With over 30 years of agency experience, Richard recently retired as Senior Managing Partner of FINN Partners, New York, specializing in local and global strategic communications programs encompassing public relations, marketing, strategic counseling, and issues management. Previously, he spent 13 years at MSL Worldwide, rising to President, following a seven-year career in Broadcasting at ABC and RKO Television in Los Angeles. During his tenure at FINN, his strategic leadership significantly contributed to clients’ competitiveness in their respective industries, enhancing their brands and images through corporate social responsibility initiatives. A former member of the PR Council and Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), Funess holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Broadcast/TV Journalism from the University of Washington.
Catherine Guzman

Catherine Guzman began working with Lifetime Arts to develop a business plan for organizational growth through NYU Wagner Capstone project. Since 2015, she has served on Lifetime Arts’ board and provides guidance on internal processes, finances and offers suggestions to champion Lifetime Arts’ mission. She is the Director of Strategic Projects for the Institute of International Education and is passionate about building efficiencies in nonprofit management. Catherine received a Master of Public Administration from NYU and a Bachelor of Arts from Cornell University.

Fatima Perkins is the Director of Community Outreach & Advocacy at Western Reserve Area Agency on Aging. Her extensive engagement with academic and social services networks, including roles with organizations like Greater Cleveland Volunteers and the Alzheimer’s Association, showcases her dedication to service and collaboration. With dual master’s degrees in Nonprofit Organization Management and Library Information and Science, Fatima brings a unique blend of expertise to the board of Lifetime Arts.
Robert Perri

As a CPA with Ernst & Young and Accenture, Robert’s background in audit, accounting and finance was an important foundation for his second career in non-profit development and communications. As a principal in a small direct marketing agency, Robert builds and refines the fundraising programs for non-profits through thoughtful strategy, efficient execution and meaningful analysis. Robert also serves on various boards and serves local nonprofits in his community with critical pro-bono development projects.

Maura, a veteran arts leader, co-founded Lifetime Arts in 2008 and has been a major contributor to the development and impact of the creative aging field in the U.S. Recognized as a global thought leader and advocate in the arts and aging ecosystem, Maura has been named an AARP Purpose Prize Fellow, an NYU Alumni Changemaker, an Association of Teaching Artists Ally and an Influencer in Aging by PBS Next Avenue. Maura continues to advance the creative aging field as a member of Lifetime Arts Board of Directors, with a specific focus on international work and as a consultant for special projects in the field. Doug Wingo is the Founder and Principal of Wingo NYC, a fundraising and communications consulting firm that has advanced the missions of hundreds of nonprofits engaged in social, cultural and environmental justice over nearly 30 years. A painter and writer, he holds degrees from both the College of William and Mary and Harvard Divinity School. He also serves on the Board of Hudson Hall, an arts center in Hudson, NY.
