“TINY PRESS KIT”
As part of the “The Tiny Press Kit” initiative, the North Dakota Council on the Arts, in partnership with the North Dakota State University’s School of Design, Architecture and Art, will develop a set of four unique art kits that will include sequential, skill-based art instructional videos online for older adults and be distributed to paired eldercare/service organizations and schools in 36 communities statewide.
Professional development and program implementation support
In fall 2021, Lifetime Arts will train North Dakota arts and senior service organizations in best practices in planning, designing, promoting, implementing, evaluating, and sustaining successful creative aging programming.
TRAINING DATES & DETAILS
Creative Aging Foundations Training for Arts and Senior Service Organizations
Fall 2021 from 10am-12pm CT/9am-11am MT (Date to be determined)
This 2-hour training will take a cohort of arts and senior service organizations through the Lifetime Arts Creative Aging Foundations course. We will cover:
- Current research on arts and aging
- Inherent biases about aging
- Best practices in the field
- How to develop responsive programming for older adults that is inclusive, diverse, and equitable
- Developing impactful cross-sector and community partnerships to ensure consistent and sustainable programs
