Bringing Creative Aging to TAP Cohort

Teaching Artist Project logoAs mentioned earlier this fall, Lifetime Arts, Inc. is proudly teaming up with the Teaching Artist Project (TAP) Cohort, a division of Community-Word Project (CWP). TAP is a comprehensive training and internship hosted by CWP and designed to prepare artists to bring their craft into K-12 classrooms.

The TAP Cohort is a network of arts organizations collaborating on a series of training sessions to be offered to teaching artists on the cohort members’ rosters. Lifetime Arts will expose more teaching artists to the exciting field of Creative Aging, and perhaps inspire them to work in an artistic endeavor they may have never considered.

The Cohort meets four times per year. Annie Montgomery (Director of Education), Lindsey Francis (Program Manager), and Abigail Jefferson (Program Coordinator) will represent Lifetime Arts. Together, they will introduce the Cohorts’ Teaching Artists to an array of creative ways to support older adults (55 plus) learning art-making skills.
