In 1997, Bob Bloom received certification as a MASTER TEACHING ARTIST by The Connecticut Office of the Arts. From 2007 to 2010, Bob served as chair of The Interactive Drumming Committee of The Percussive Arts Society, the largest percussion organization in the world.

At concert venues including Lincoln Center, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, and Jorgenson Hall, Bob played drums and sang as a member of the legendary music and dance troupe "DRUMS OF PASSION" under the direction of Dr. Babatunde Olatunji.

"TAKE A DRUM RIDE" sparks a musical hoot for older adults. Entire groups and audiences get their hearts and hands around an array of lovable drums. Seniors, family members, and caregivers have a seat on the ride with me as I drive joyous, legendary tunes.

“We had over 50 of our members attend. All were able to participate at this dynamic and interactive program. Bob is pleasant to work with, has a good sense of humor, and is clearly knowledgeable about his craft. " --- Patty Watts, Program Coordinator / Wallingford Senior Center
