“CREATIVE AGING ACROSS OKLAHOMA”

As part of the “Creative Aging across Oklahoma” initiative, the Oklahoma Arts Council will hire an arts learning in communities director to conduct an environmental scan of Oklahoma’s older adults to determine needs, access to services across different communities, and key areas of programmatic focus.

Professional development and program implementation support

Beginning September 2021, Lifetime Arts will provide strategic consultation and creative aging training to the arts learning in communities director in addition to teaching artists, library programmers, arts and senior service organizations, and arts council staff. The director will convene a diverse advisory group of creative aging leaders to provide driving guidance to the program. This work will culminate in a statewide creative aging summit in spring 2022.
