“OHIO INTENSIVE CREATIVE AGING TRAINING”

Continuing the work of Creative Aging Ohio, a 2013 initiative developed by the Ohio Arts Council (OAC) designed to expand arts programs for older adults in visual, literary, and performing arts, the “Ohio Intensive Creative Aging Training” initiative will provide leadership, funding, administration and professional development resources to support Ohio’s professional teaching artists and their communities.

Professional development and program implementation support

Beginning July 2021, Lifetime Arts will train Ohio teaching artists, library programmers and senior service organizations in best practices in planning, designing, promoting, implementing, evaluating, and sustaining successful creative aging programming. In May 2022, an in-person project convening will include a rigorous evaluation and subsequent whitepaper that will equip the OAC with meaningful data, stories and methods to guide further investment in creative aging initiatives, collaborations and policy considerations.
