Kansas Creative Arts Industries Commission

“KANSAS CREATIVE AGING PROJECT”

As part of the “Kansas Creative Aging Project” initiative, the Kansas Creative Arts Industries Commission will strengthen the state’s creative aging infrastructure through professional development, networking and multisector programming.

Project goal

This project focuses on serving seniors through the pilot programs as participants in creative aging programming, as organizers and mentors, and as empowered arts leaders.

Professional development and program implementation support

In July 2021, Lifetime Arts will train a cohort of Kansas-based teaching artists, arts and senior service organizations in the design and implementation of three potential pilot programs in 2022. These pilots will focus on three levels of program delivery: individual artist, organizational and state agency. We will also provide coaching and program implementation support in all three areas of program delivery beginning in June.
