“LIFELONG ARTS INDIANA”

As part of the “Lifelong Arts Indiana” initiative, the Indiana Arts Commission will expand the capacity of teaching artists across the state and prepare them to deliver arts education programs to Indiana’s growing population of citizens, specifically people over the age of 65.

Professional development and program implementation support

In June 2021, Lifetime Arts will host a 1-hour informational webinar for Indiana arts organizations to deepen and inspire their interest in connecting with older adults in their communities and teaching artists in the creative aging field. In October 2021, Lifetime Arts will train Indiana teaching artists in best practices in planning, designing, promoting, implementing, evaluating, and sustaining successful creative aging programming. We will also provide coaching and program implementation support for teaching artists.
