Teaching artist of Drama and Storytelling: I have done one and done workshops and both short and long term residencies. The work ranged from the needs of the clientele. I worked with the senior population in the Library and Teacher organizations.
I have a multitude of learning and collaborative skills that I can help share in the work of engaging the elder/inter-generational population. As an improvisation trained actor, I have worked in many settings where my goal was to not only entertain, but to make the audience an interactive part of what I was doing. I believe you get so much more, and are much more engaged, if you are part of the whole. My work in theater and storytelling is all about empowering others to find their own voice, creative and for their lives. Working with the various levels of learners, I've learned how to modify my leading sessions so that everyone finds their moment and benefits from it.
What's not listed above is that besides being in the performing arts as an actor/director, I am a Professional Storyteller (one of my MA's is in Oral Traditions) and a playwright/creative writer. I know SOME Yiddish and have basic American Sign Language Skills. I also have been a Professional Development Coordinator and Facilitator.
