Art is my passion. I’ve been an artist all my life, from 2-dimensional drawing to my profession of 3-dimensions ceramic sculpture. I received my MA in Sculptural Ceramic at St. Cloud State University in 1997.  I have taught all age levels and skill levels. I currently teach intermediate adults and beginning my second year teaching senior citizens hand building and wheel throwing skills. I create my own work for the past 4 years as one of the members of the Central Minnesota Artists Guild, along with displaying at various other artistic venues.

I have always loved and worked well with older adults. Along with my MA in Art, I received a Masters of Divinty in 1981 serving as a Lutheran Pastor and chaplain for the past 30 years, and always creating my art in tandem with that position. I have served as a Chaplain the past 6 years working part time with older adults at Country Manor Campus. I have taught clay to all ages the past 6 years at The Paramount Arts Center in St. Cloud. I am also beginning my second year of teaching in dependent seniors through a special national AROHA Grant, art-fully aging. It’s a special treat to see older adults come alive and create something they did not think possible and clay can be that vehicle to do so.
