Teaching art to Adults, to me is an experience I constantly cherish while being a part of the curriculum that I teach. I help my elderly students see nature and portray their understanding with the aid of observation. Art is a life-changing phenomenon, so I invite my students to pursue their art with an open mind. My professional artistic practice has many dimensions, so ask students to see the multiple possibilities that can help them complete a work. I am experienced in drawing and sketching with graphite, charcoal, dry brush, Pen and Ink, painting with watercolor, gouache, acrylic and oil color mediums. Students appreciate my approach to teaching and travel with me through the technical part of art making with ease. I believe in students and I do believe in art practice. I also believe that a good teacher could instruct a student and inspire with his/her own creative potentials.
I like to listen to my elderly students while teaching. My philosophy is, only a good listener assists a good student. Since students like to listen only to a good listener I pay attention to them every moment of my teaching time.
I teach what I ‘learnt’. Since I myself a ‘learner’, my teaching is always about sharing knowledge.
20 years of Art practice, travels, scholarships, exhibitions had given me enough experience to share with my elderly students what I acquired along my way.
